About the storyteller
A storyteller at heart.
I'm Curtis Osei-Owusu, a Ghanaian visual storyteller and creative director with over 20 years of experience documenting people, personalities and culture.
My journey has taken me from publishing and commercial photography to documenting some of Ghana's most recognisable music personalities. I've spent 2.5 years photographing Sarkodie and another 4.5 years documenting Shatta Wale.
I believe an artist's story goes beyond the music. It's in the everyday moments, the creative process, the relationships and the experiences that reveal the person behind the public image.
Through photography, film, writing and creative direction, I turn these moments into stories that connect people with the personalities they admire.
I'm interested in the intersection of music, culture and human experiences, and in working with artists and creative organisations to tell stories that matter.
Based in Accra. Open to the world.
